Win at the All Mountain Challenge and partnership with v8 Equipment

Last weekend, the first All Mountain Challenge took place in Millau, France. Even if the travel was quite long, it was worth it as the event was great and the region beautiful. The racing format was very particular, as it allied an Enduro race on Saturday (3 stages) and a cross-country pursuit on Sunday (29km), with the same bike. In order to give the same importance to both disciplines, a factor was applied to the Enduro time differences to set the pursuit start times. When I registered for this event I had in mind to race it with my hardtail. I effectively have the chance to train with the future BMC cross-country weapon (Teamelite 01 2016) for a few months. And I love that little bike!! It was thus a great opportunity to test what he could do during an Enduro and to start the XC with a light bike. This original choice paid as I won the Enduro with some margin. And I had so much fun pushing my little boy to its limits. It was also a very good exercise to be obliged to stay focused and clean all stages long. Thanks to this good first day, I started the cross-country with a lead of a few minutes on Sunday. The track was beautiful but demanding physically, especially in the first third. As I didn’t know the loop or if the other girls were coming back, it was quite hard to manage my race.. especially mentally! But I crossed the finish line with an almost 4 minutes lead and could thus party a double BMC Factory Trailcrew win with my teammate François. It’s a promising result before Enduro World Series rounds 2 and 3 in two weeks, even if I now have to find some speed on the bigger bike ;)

Moreover, I am super stoked to announce that I am now an ambassador of V8 Equipment. This French brand designs great biking and travelling bags, which are even waterproof. I particularly appreciate how they managed to produce biking bags adapted to my little back while allowing me to bring everything that I need in races. And they are orange or green, can’t dream of better!!
