After my crash in Valloire, I had to give my little body some rest. Fortunately my injuries weren't too serious and I was back on a bike after 10 days.Last Thursday I thus drove to Flims in the other side of Switzerland to race the Trailfox and more particularly its Enduro that counts for the European Series. After Friday practice, I knew that stages 1 to 3 suited me well with really nice technical sections. On the other hand I was ready for some hard times in stages 4 and 5 that were quite flat. However my race day didn't go as I hoped. Probably too nervous because of my position of leader of the European Series, I felt tensed, not concentrated and tired on my bike. My riding was imply bad and I ended 5th.Disappointed with that result and above all with my riding, I still took part in Sunday mass start (that doesn't count for the European Series). My goal was to have fun on the bike and to get some confidence back. After a very good start that allowed me to think about a win, my chain felt off and I lost some time. But with this mechanical, all pressure left me. I simply enjoyed the end of the race! It was so good to have fun again and I could even overtake enough riders to end on the podium. Now, I know that I have to change my mind state before the World Series next week if I don't want to replicate Saturday disaster. Probably easier said than to done...
